Explaining the Stop

The Walkways

So, looking at the stop, we see the division of the platforms into numerous functional (sometimes multifunctional) spaces. The coral-coloured travel areas can also be peppered with chairs billboards or shops.

The Tracks

The tram tracks (dark blue) are oriented in such a way that there is less travel time between tram and ground for those coming from the city (right), and more spaces for waiting and/or eating for those leaving for the city (left).

Leisure and Greenery

Leisure areas (yellow) in the platforms are either depressions in the surface with linked steps, or raised cubes (complete with centred cube for powerpoints, etc...). The top floor features two grassy areas, wherein commuters or students might study or spend time.

'Cells'

As the curvilinear element, and with the intention of blending function and esthetic, I used cell-like discs as both roof and seperating walls. Often the discs (rusted metal) fuse into the platforms so as to create divisions in the spaces or provide functional alcoves

Cytoskeleton

The railing (dark red) is used as seating and structural support, the idea in mind here was parallel processing and functionality. The discs are supported by the cytoskeletal architectural, upon which sliding seats have been mounted, allowing for gorups that wish to pull multiple seats together around a raised cube or table.
